The Beast

Many of you know that we drive a large Sprinter we affectionately call “The Hulk”.  While the Hulk has served us well for the past 5 years, the mileage on it is getting higher.  Since Brett is a new driver, we decided it was time to invest in a younger vehicle.

We love the Sprinters because they are well built, get great gas mileage, and can fit our entire family plus lots of cargo. So we knew we were going to stick with a Sprinter.

Since the new sprinters are plain white (boring), we decided to invest in something a little more branded that would showcase Goat Milk Stuff and be a marketing investment as well as a write off.

So I would like to introduce… The Beast!

Yes, all the children are on The Beast, as are several of our goats – ZaZu, Zephyr, Valley, Vera, Persephone, and Pegasus.   Both Thor and Baxter, our Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dogs are on The Beast.  And even some of Emery’s chickens are there.

Jim and I are not on The Beast because you’re not allowed to cover the front windows.  The children can see out of their windows, but you can’t see in unless the sun is shining just right or you are really close.

Brett was not too keen on having her face on the side of our vehicle, but she admitted that, “It’s not as bad as I thought it would be.”

We have a really fun time watching everyone react to The Beast.  It’s fun to see people do double takes as we’re driving down the highway or circle The Beast entirely if it’s parked.

We’ve already had people contacting us because of it, so overall I think it’s a great success.  We’re hoping to be able to take day trips and host meet-ups like we did in North Carolina.

Having The Beast will definitely make us easy to locate, don’t you think?

  1. love the”beast” and I hope to see it riding around some day,,even though we are in georgia!lol. enjoy ur new ride!

  2. I love your new van! My family only had five of us when I was growing up (2 parents + 3 kids), but we had a big van as well (just not as big – a Dodge that seated 7) that we took all over the country on road trips. It’s the best to travel in my book. 😉
