The goats are all pregnant (well, the female goats) and they are getting closer to their due dates. We’ve wanted to get them moved to the new barn and settled in before they’re too heavily pregnant. So we loaded them in groups of 6 into the Hulk and began transporting them to their new home.
On the way to Scottsburg with the first group, we had a funny conversation:
Jim (ever the homeschool dad): “There are 6 pregnant goats in the hulk with the 10 of us. How many hearts are in the hulk right now?”
Indigo: “16.”
Jim: “But the goats are pregnant, so what does that mean?”
Indigo: “They are tired and cranky?”
Not quite the math lesson he was going for, but an animal (and human) psychology lesson instead.
