The exterior of our soap room is almost finished! Doesn’t it look beautiful? We heard a funny story from our contractor. Apparently somebody stopped by to look at it and made a comment that it was an “awful fancy” building to put goats in. So we just want to go on record that this building is the soap building and will be housing the soap production.
The goat barn has not been built yet, although in all honesty it’s going to look very similar to this one. It will actually be taller (two stories) so we can store hay in the top of it. It will be closer to the woods, but it will also be red and white and have a front porch.
As for the soap room, the exterior is almost done. They still need to stain the posts on the front porch a dark, reddish-brown color, add the outside outlets, and pour a bit more concrete so it is handicapped accessible. Plus, we’re planning to add a cupola (and I’m looking for a goat weather vane).
We even have baby grass starting to grow:
They’re working on the inside now and before you know it, we’ll be starting to move in!
Lucky’s good at what he does!!
Yes, he sure is!!

Looks great but I’m sad you won’t be so close to my mom’s house.
Thanks. Growing pains. 😉
