Zap and Zeus

I could write about Zap and Zeus’s birth, or I could just post a link to the video that we got of the birth and let you watch it for yourself!

For those of you who don’t want to see what some could call a graphic video (we don’t think it’s graphic – we think that it’s beautiful), I’ll sum it up for you:

  • The first baby took a little while to come out, but it was a healthy boy.
  • We named him Zap.
  • The second baby’s front legs were crossed, which took us a minute to figure out.
  • Emery tried to uncross them, but they didn’t want to, and since they weren’t really getting in the way Emery just pulled the baby out like that.
  • It was another boy, and after several different names were tossed out, we decided to name him Zeus.

2015 kid count: 21 doelings, 19 bucklings
2015 doe status (33 total): 16 does kidded, 17 left to go
2 set of quads, 6 sets of triplets, 6 set of twins, 2 singles
