Happy Birthday, Hewitt!

Hewitt turned seven today!

After over 10 years of use, our birthday crown died (and Mom hasn’t made another one yet), so the boys made Hewitt a birthday crown from his “I Can’t Walk” tracks.

I thought it looked goofy, but he seemed to really like it.

Greyden and Emery made him a lemon poppy seed cake last night with home made crumb toppings.  Only they forgot to bake the crumbs on last night so we had to bake it this morning.  That meant that the cake was still hot and if we tried to put the candles in the cake, the candles would melt. (We know that from experience).

So Dad made the number 7 out of a banana and put the candles in the banana:

Mom said that was something only Dad would ever think of doing and that she would have dealt with melted candles. (Mom likes it when Dad comes up with smart solutions to her dilemmas).

Hewitt got a birthday hug from everyone and he was really excited about being big enough to pick up the girls:

But he was even more excited about his new playmobil toys:

And so were Fletcher and Greyden (just look at their covetous faces):

I love you, Hewitt!!!  You’ve gotten so much bigger (and grown more hair):

Happy Birthday!!!
