Friends In The Soaproom…

We’ve been getting ready for something big for a while now – Mom says I’m not allowed to tell you yet, but soon.* That means that Dad has been making as much soap as possible.

And do you know what that means? That means bagging all that soap.

Mom always tells us that work can be fun if you have the right attitude. We play a lot of music in the soap room that we kids like to listen to and sing along with. But the best thing we do to have fun in the soap room is…

Work with friends!

Friends help us get our work done quickly so that we can go play. It’s a win/win situation. We stay happy because we are playing with our friends. Mom and Dad stay happy because a lot of soap is getting bagged.

Having all these friends here means that I can usually find some pretty interesting pictures that are just waiting for me to take them. Or, it just gives me an excuse to take photos and direct people while not doing any of the work myself. 😉

Sam glaring at me because I had the camera aimed at him, and Colter and Emery laughed because I actually got a picture of Sam. Notice that Garrett is still working. (Mom and Dad like to point out that our friends often work harder than we do. I respond that we work more often.)

This? This is Colter trying to use Garrett as a shield against the camera. (Don’t you love Garrett’s shirt?)

And then I was called to take a picture of this:

Apparently Jade had not noticed what she was doing and stuffed this bag chock full of cards. Distraction? or brilliant marketing??

And then it was free time. The younger kids went to go do whatever the younger kids do. We older kids went to have our Bible Study. We have so much fun at our bible study… and it usually has nothing to do with our fun games! It is usually Eli saying something that makes the rest of us roll around on the mat because we are laughing so hard… But that is another post.

Yeah, we have so much fun when our freinds come over, even when we have to work instead of playing! Thanks so much for all your help Sam, Garrett, Eli, Moirah, Mirial, Elissa, and Eliza!
