After at least four years of “patiently” waiting, Indigo finally got her ears pierced. She was just a little excited. The three girls got them pierced in preparation for Brett’s wedding. -PJ

If I am intruding I apologize before hand please forgive me. How old were your girls when they were allowed to get their ears pierced? My daughter was 15 before we let her pierce her’s. She never said so, waited patiently but I got the impression she was disgusted with me. She’s 21 now and raises Boer goats for a living on our cattle ranch and has let the ears close up. Did I miss an object lesson here??
Not intruding! (but thanks for asking). Brett is 20, Indigo is 11, and Jade is 10. My rules were they had to be old enough to clean their ears themselves. And they had to know that I wouldn’t pay for any of it. I never set a specific age for it. Jade was borderline young, but I wanted them to have the memory of all getting their ears pierced together.
There are lessons on both sides of things, so I wouldn’t worry about it too much. 🙂 PJ
