As we said a few weeks ago, life has its ups, and life has its downs. This week had some very high ups, but a very very low down. In case you were wondering, I didn’t get any photos this week, so we are just going to use Ginger photos instead.
This week started out with our 7th Annual Jonas Family Christmas Party! It was so awesome, and I had so much fun! It wasn’t super cold outside, and since we are crazy about Ultimate Frisbee, we were able to play a few games. I didn’t play in the first one, because I had some friends who didn’t want to play, and so I wanted to be with them. But then a few hours later, they were ready to play again, and I decided to play. So I got dressed into my Frisbee Clothes (leggings, shorts, and a long sleeve synthetic shirt), by the time I got outside, it had started snowing just a little bit, but it was still pretty warm, and I was excited to play, so I didn’t mind the cold. But as soon as we started playing, the snow picked up, and it started snowing super hard! It was a lot of fun playing in the snow, but I don’t think I’d ever voluntarily do it again!
The next two days, the Jonas Family was on a staycation! We had lots of fun, and we got to have a lot of family time!
On Wednesday, our family house cat Ginger passed away. I was super sad because she has basically been there all my life. She was the best cat ever, and I know that she had a good life. We all knew this was coming and weren’t surprised, but that doesn’t make it any easier. We lost her to a spleen issue that is apparently genetic because we lost her sister to the same issue years ago.
We haven’t lost anybody close to us before, and so this a new experience for Jade, and I. We were too young to really understand what happened to Ginger’s sister. And Ginger had always been our favorite, so thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I know that many of you understand the loss of such a special member of the family.
This week’s been pretty tough, but God will heal us all!
