I am a grandmother of 6 and have used goats soap for everything from acne to dry skin LOVE goat cheese and have always wanted to own dairy goats. Do you ever eat your goats, i.e., “cabrito”? I wonder because I once had just one goat that I bred and milked. I placed my first order in February. Will I still be entered in the March contest? I hope so. I will be keeping up on your products.. I just starting using the hand soap and besides loving the mild citrus scent, I’m looking for the next product I’m going to try. When I saw you and your family on WGN, I thought, wow, this family has a great business that is helping them and helping others. I would much rather help a family business like yours then these big companies that will sell you anything. Keep up the good work. : )

My question for PJ and Jim (based on a recent podcast) is, What do you do when you have the opposite love language of a loved one? My primary love language is acts of service, w words of encouragement a distant second. I feel so loved when my husband helps me clean the kitchen or hang up laundry to dry, etc, or when he tells me I am doing a good job raising the children. However, this is the last way my husband would ever think to show love– he prefers quality time or physical touch. By the end of a day with a nursing baby, I want to sit on the couch alone while my husband cleans the kitchen; he wants to cuddle on the couch while the dishes sit in the sink. 🙂 I know it is common for people to have mismatched love languages— how do we go about helping each other so that we BOTH feel loved?

My question for PJ and Jim is concerning remuneration for the children. I think you are doing a great job of teaching responsibility to your kids, but I am curious as to how they are rewarded. I know that GMS is a family venture, and so presumably much of their reward is built into advancing the business and family as a whole, but do you also “pay” them for their work and how is this handled?

My question for PJ and Jim is are you thinking about a pet line of products? I know you already have the soap for dogs, but, have you thought about making more products for pets with a variety of scents? Maybe like shampoos, balms and soaps for dogs that chew and get hot spots, made with goat’s milk for dogs as well as the soaps. Just an idea that I thought would be a another possible source of success for the GMS family.
