If you have been reading this blog for a while, you probably know that every year we go apple picking! We have gone every year that I can remember. We always have a lot of fun, as you can see in this post from 2010, and this post from 2007.  I could not find blog posts from 2009 and 2008.

But, we have not gone yet this year!  OK, that is not entirely true. We did go to Hubers. We just did not go apple picking!

You see, we went on a Sunday.

We are homeschoolers. We always go on a weekday, so that we avoid the weekend crowds. We had never been to Hubers on a weekend!

It was so packed! It was about as badly packed as Harvest Homecoming, the show that we had visited right before we went to Hubers.

So, instead of picking apples, we went to the ice cream shop instead.

Even though there was some confusion there, the kids were super happy! You see,  Mom thought she was placing an order for 4 sundaes, two being Chocolate Mint, and two being Oreo. The lady behind the counter thought that Mom was placing an order for 4 Vanilla sundaes, 2 Mint, and 2 Oreo. LOL

Can you imagine how mad we were? We had to eat a whole sundae, instead of splitting one!!! (Insert sarcastic grin).

If you look carefully, you can see Indigo’s head hiding behind Hewitt and Jade.

See, we really did have Indigo!

The sundaes were really good!

I think that Colter was the only one who finished all of his. And then, when he had finished his, he helped the rest of us finish ours.

OK, Dad helped too.

You know, after Colter had eaten the equivalent of 3 sundaes.

Yes, I said 3 sundaes.

Colter was extremely happy! I think that that is one of the only times he has had his fill of ice cream. LOL

It was a lot of fun, but we are still waiting to go back and pick our apples!!
