As many of you know, we’re taking a much anticipated (and much needed) vacation at the ocean in North Carolina. All ten Jonases love the ocean. We spend hours and hours in the water and on the sand. We do come into the house periodically to eat and sleep, but that’s about it.
Due to Hurricane Katia, we had a few days of very rough surf and riptide advisories. Because there was very little beach to play on, we spent many more hours indoors on those days.
One of the things Jim suggested we pack and bring to North Carolina was our karaoke machine. During the rough surf, Indigo and Jade got their hands on it and entertained their grandmother (and themselves).
As you watch the video, enjoy Jade’s dancing skills at the beginning of the video. I’d like to say that she got those moves from her own imagination, but Brett (and Jim) insist that she’s copying my dance moves. I told them that she may be modeling me, but the twists are all her own.
I admit it, I spend a lot of time dancing with the children. Actually, I spend a lot of time dancing and the children choose to dance with me. I find not only is dancing a great stress reliever, but it is also a great form of exercise. I hate doing sit-ups and stomach crunches, so I work out my abs a lot dancing.
But that is the subject of a different blog post.
Back to the video. It’s not the whole song, but bits and pieces of Indigo singing “Love Shack”. After the children heard this song a time or two, Emery asked Jim, “Why do they bring their juice box money?”
After Jim stopped laughing, he explained to Emery what a “juke box” is and why you need money for it.
Hope you enjoy the video, my girls are pretty funny:
