Many of you who have been following my blog for a while, will probably remember our “youngest person rule“. Well, in keeping with the spirit of this rule, Indigo just received a promotion. She is now in charge of printing the postage for all the outgoing orders.
The way it works, is that I put together all the postage information and get it queued up in the system. Each individual postage has to be given permission to print. Because our internet is very slow, printing the postage takes a lot of time because you have to wait for each piece of postage to get the delivery confirmation number from USPS.
Indigo is now in charge of printing the postage. Her job involves sitting at the computer, waiting for the confirmation email to pop up. She then hits “send” on each of them, prompting the postage label to be printed.
She loves her job and is very proud of being allowed to use the computer. She’s learned how to trouble shoot if she “loses” the mouse arrow. She’s really adorable at it. I “interviewed” her and took a video of her performing her new job.
Isn’t she great!?!
Love that she is so proud of her work 🙂
Yes – today she asked me when she could be in charge of more computer work. So now she is teaching herself to type since I told her that was what was slowing her down. 🙂 PJ
