I have amazing cousins. And I love visiting them.
Do you know what I like even more? Going to their birthday parties.
Do you know why? Because my Aunt Heather and Uncle Adam pick the coolest places for birthday parties.
Last year for the boys’ party, (they do one birthday party for all of the boys) we went to a gym, where they had lots of cool things that you could do like the rings and balance beams and such.
This year’s party destination was the Magic House.
When we got there, our party room was not quite ready yet. So we went to play in the Kids’ Construction Zone.
We all dug around for a little while:
Fletcher and Ben started working the pulley system:
Fletcher hauled building supplies:
Michaela and I designed our future houses:
Jade drove the CAT:
Then we got the call that our party room was ready. So we went to it, and ate our pizza. Aunt Heather had ordered 6 pizzas.
We were the only guests to have arrived, and there was only one pizza left (yep, we were hungry).
So Aunt Heather called for more pizza.
After other guests had arrived and eaten their pizza, two of the Magic House employees put on a “magic” show.
They made a “bomb” (vinegar and baking soda).
There were a couple of other tricks, and then they asked us a question.
“How can I put this skewer through this balloon, using nothing but Vaseline, without popping the balloon?”
We messed around with it for a while, popping a few balloons, but we finally got it.
Then we decorated our own cupcakes, ate them, and then the party split up. Everyone went and explored the Magic House.
There was a mystery solving room, (that was really fun):
There was a electricity machine that made your hair stand up:
There was a… I’m not even sure what to call this. It blew air out and kept the balls afloat:
There was this:
You would make an impression on the one side, and then come and admire your work of art. Can you figure out which one is Daddy?
Then, (this was really cool) it had a courtroom:
And a room where the words of popular patriotic songs were displayed on a projector…
…and you could sit down and sing along:
And there was a copy of the Oval Office from the White House (where the president does all of his stuff) with a bunch of really cool stuff in the drawers:
