One of our favorite things to do in the Spring and Fall is go hiking in the woods at the Charlestown State Park.
It’s also great fun to swing from hanging tree branches:
The boys always like to be in the front. So most of the time we have a great view of their backs:
This is the overlook on our favorite trail. There is a small waterfall and the girls always want to be picked up so they can see it:
And of course, we have to keep a firm grip on Jade so she doesn’t dive in head first:
Mom and I usually each bring a camera. This way I can get pictures of Mom to prove she really does exist. Here’s one of her taking a picture of Jade about to fall to her death looking at the waterfall:
I like climbing to the tops of hills and looking all around:
Hewitt is in such a good mood here and being goofy with Dad:
When we get to the end of the trail, Indigo always runs and yells, “C’mon Mom and Dad! Let’s go play on the playground!!”:
And then we play on the playground until we’re starving and head home to get food. Mom always says we’re going to someday remember to bring hotdogs and charcoal, but so far she keeps forgetting.
That’s ok, though. I just love going hiking!!!

PJ adds: Hmmmm… is this a subtle way of reminding me to buy hotdogs and charcoal??
