Mom and Dad had a date tonight. So they left for Louisville, and we finished up all of our work. Afterwords, I called all the kids together to make sure all the work was done. Once I was sure it was all finished, I told them that we could play a game of Charades!
Then came the usual arguing and bickering over teams.
Here is what we decided:
Team A: Brett, Emery, Indigo, and Jade (31 people years)
Team B: Colter, Fletcher, Greyden, and Hewitt. (35 people years)
Emery and I were at a bit of a disadvantage. And we also had to think of charades that the little girls could do!
First, we decided to be cats. We made up the rule that, since you could not talk, when they guessed it right, you froze.
So I started pretending to lick the back of my hand, and then swipe the back of my head. I’m not sure what Indi and Jade did, because I just saw Emery, actually licking his hand, and then smearing it all over his face. Yep. This Boy, did that.
Then Team B had a turn. Colter swung the couch out so that it was in between our side and theirs. Then they played that they were throwing snow balls, and the couch was their fort. We shouted “SNOW BALL FIGHT!” just as Cole had jumped up onto one foot! So he had to stay frozen, until we were assured that it was indeed, a snow-ball fight.
It was a lot of fun! I am glad that we had such a good evening tonight. Maybe it will inspire my brothers to work hard tomorrow!
