During the air show, one of my nephews got upset about something (I think it was a quarrel over the soccer ball). He decided to walk off. I sent Greyden after him to go check on him.
A little while later Emery joined them and I stopped paying attention. When I looked back over there 5 minutes later, I saw this:
I later asked Emery what they were doing. He said, “Sage was really upset, so I asked him if he wanted to pray about it. So we prayed that God would help him to not be mad anymore and to help him have the strength to say he was sorry for what he did wrong.”
My jaw about dropped.
Do you know what this means???
This means that my children actually listen to me.
And not only do they listen to me, but Emery is applying what Jim and I are trying to teach him.
It was one of the high points of the weekend in my mind!

That is AWESOME! And I truly mean that. I love it when my 5 year old wants to pray or is praising God all on his own! It helps me to see that I am doing something right in this crazy thing we call parenting!
