When we were at Disney over the winter, we went into one of the gift shops. Brett was looking at books, the boys were looking at pirate stuff, Indigo was looking at pretty, princess dresses. And Jade fell in love with what she called her “scary hands”. We left without buying anything.
A couple of days later, we went back into the store and Jade bee-lined it for the scary hands, picked them up, put them on, and announced that she was a “Scary Princess”. I’m not usually easily swayed, but Jade has very few toys that are actually hers, so I decided to buy them for her.
She loved them and dressed as a scary princess a lot.

Forward to our trip to Florida my brother’s wedding. One night, we went to dinner at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Three guesses what was for sale in the gift shop, that we saved for Jade’s birthday. Here’s a clue:
The funny thing was, this time Grandma also got the “hat”:
Jade is very happy to be scary again.
