I was feeling kinda blue the other day and was sitting on my bed, alone, taking a break. Indigo silently walked into my room and climbed up on the bed with me. She looked at me in the face, then snuggled up next to me and started stroking my leg.
She kept that up for a minute, and then looked up at me. She quite solemnly said, “I’m making you feel better.”
And you know what – it worked!
Oh, thats so beautiful. Isn’t it great how kids can sense things and a simple touch or word just makes us feel better – kid of like they are “old souls”. My 3yo is like that.
Yes, it makes me feel so encouraged as a mom when one of the children shows such love toward me or Jim or one of their siblings.
We’re doing something right, Dee! 🙂
