Emery adores flowers. He always has. He’s always begging our neighbors for some of their abundant flowers.
This year we gave him a plot of ground. He turned it into his own flower garden.
He’s doing a beautiful job with it. Somewhere he got some wildflower seeds. Here he is surrounded by them.
He also has tulips, irises, carnations, lilies, and a few cherry tomato plants (which he also loves). There are some lilac bushes and a dogwood tree. Some friends have promised him some daffodil bulbs this fall. He’s a little behind on the weeding, but as his plants mature, that will improve.
We’re very proud of him!
Hey PJ!
Let me just say – you’re my new hero! :o) I loved reading that you have eight children and live on a spread where you do your own stuff (harvesting, animals, etc). I think that’s so cool! I too hope to be blessed with many. We’re expecting our second, another daughter, in January and cannot wait!
It’s wonderful and too adorable that your son has a green thumb. What a great thing to cultivate!
Have a blessed weekend, mama!
Oh Kelly – it’s comments like yours that just make my day! I love my life and wouldn’t trade it, but some days (today happens to be one of them) can be a challenge! 😀
Then I get comments like this and it puts it all into perspective and makes me smile! It’s a good reminder that dirty dishes aren’t the end of the world. LOL!
