In a large family, there is ALWAYS something that needs to be done. Always. Not most of the time. Always. Usually I put it on my to-do list, and there it stays, either to die a peaceful death, or to be moved up to emergency gotta do right now status. That is why nobody in my family ever gets a birthday card. I have the best intentions, but it just never seems to get to that emergency gotta do it right now status – until it is too late to mail. Then a birthday phone call achieves emergency gotta do it right now status. Same thing with thank you notes. When Jade was born, people were so generous and got her some great gifts. I still have the list – so I can write my thank you notes… someday. So if you’re reading this and you are one of the people who sent Jade a present, THANK YOU!
