It’s Communications Week, and today, we’re going to work on our Family Photo.

Even if you don’t send a Christmas Card, the holiday season is always a good excuse to get an updated family photo. Time passes so quickly, and your family will be grown before you know it, and if you’re anything like me, family photos can easily be forgotten. 

So today, we’re going to either take or schedule a family photo session.

If you’re like our family, family photos can be an ordeal. You have to find a photographer (or a relative or friend or tripod) to take the photos, find coordinating outfits, get everyone showered and cleaned up and ready for a picture, and then actually take a picture where everyone’s eyes are open and they’re smiling.

I’m exhausted just typing it!

But don’t worry, we’re going to attempt to make things easier today. 

Take a few minutes to reach out to your photographer if you have one that you use, or ask a friend when they would be available, or use Facebook to find a local photographer. Get your photos on the calendar now, so you’re able to forget about it for now. 

Then, we’re going to work on finding outfits for family pictures. Don’t take too long on this; focus on finding outfits that coordinate, not match. If you search Pinterest for “fall family photos” you can find examples of outfits, (even if you don’t have an account).

You don’t necessarily have to get the outfits ready right now if you’re only scheduling your photos today, but keep them in mind for the future. 

Once you have a general idea of what outfits your family will need to wear (or buy), and you have your photo session on the calendar, you’re done for the day!
