We’re going to beat the holiday rush and get all of our shopping done this week.
We’re not going to have emails for you this week, because everyone will do things differently. Brett will be checking in on the Facebook Group, so please join us there if you haven’t already!
There are a few ways you can break this up, but the end result is that most of your holiday shopping should be done by the end of this week.
- Purchase all gifts
- Purchase all supplies
- Purchase all food items
- Purchase all donations
Some people may not have the budget or the space to do all of their food items this week, which is totally fine. You have your shopping lists ready to go, so that can be put to the side until you need them. However, if you have the space and budget to start stocking up on those non-perishable items, it can save you a lot of time and energy in the future. Canned cranberry jelly won’t go bad in your pantry before Thanksgiving.
So break it up how you want to, but whatever you do, decide what you’re going to do every day.
Some folks may do all of their gifts on Monday, their supplies on Tuesday, their donations on Wednesday, their food on Thursday, and be done for the week.
Others may choose to shop on Amazon on Monday, stop at Target on Tuesday, visit Walmart on Wednesday, drop by Aldi on Thursday, and finish with Hobby Lobby on Friday.
And some may prefer the marathon approach, and do all of their shopping in one day.
However you break up your shopping, take a look at your lists – all of these should be done already – and make your plan of attack. Then come by the Facebook group and tell us what you’re planning on doing. You may have thought of a plan that would work perfectly for someone else, they just didn’t think of it.
We’re proud of you for sticking with it so far, and accomplishing all that you have. This week may seem a little stressful, but just think of how wonderful it will be when you aren’t doing last minute shopping on Christmas Eve, or stressed because an item you needed is out of stock. This will help reduce your holiday stress by so much!

PS – need clever hiding places for your new holiday stash? Try under your bed, in your underwear drawer, at the bottom of the pantry, or in a tub in storage. Our family doesn’t wrap presents until Week 6, but if you have to do things early because of prying and nosy family members, we understand that too. Just think of it as getting ahead!
