Just wanted to let you know that Hewitt is doing great!

Since I took him off dairy he is much happier and healthier.

He’s really good about policing himself too. When we went to the zoo, we stopped at McDonalds. I ordered him a double cheeseburger with no cheese (I know – then it’s not really a cheeseburger). The tag on the burger said “no cheese” so I gave it to him and turned away.

A few moments later I hear, “HEY! I CAN’T HAVE CHEESE!” Sure enough, they had put cheese on it, but Hewitt didn’t eat it. Good boy!

I’ve been a little lenient. I let him have crackers that had whey powder listed down toward the bottom of the ingredients. And stuff like that. Even with that leniency, he’s still doing great.

This isn’t as terrible as I had thought it would be. 😀
