Working (Out) in the Soap Room

I’m pretty vocal about how important I think exercise is. We do a lot to stay fit so we can stay healthy so we can feel good so we can work hard so we can enjoy life. See how simple it is?

Simple, yes. Easy, not always. Because things get really busy around here, I’ve built some habits into our routine. For example, when we work in the soap room, we almost always have music playing. I had Brett put one song – “Call Me Maybe” – into our playlist approximately 6 times. Since the music shuffles, we never know when it will play. But when it does, we do this:

Everyone in the soap room has to do it (or as much of it as they can). Even friends who visit are pressured into joining the routine if the song plays. By the way – it’s a great 3 minute workout and it will definitely build your quadriceps if you want to try it.

If you’re like me and don’t always have time to do a 30 minute workout, I give some other ideas about exercising throughout the day in my podcast episode – Get Off Your Backside and Move!

So what about you? Do you build exercise into your day? If so, I’d love to hear any good ideas you have!
