Achieve Your Goals

Busy Mom’s Survival Guide Podcast Episode 037.
Many people regularly set goals.  Yet they are often frustrated when they don’t reach them.  It is important to set goals the right way as well as doing some work (after setting your goal) to help yourself successfully achieve them.  During this podcast episode, I talk about some of my current goals, how many of them I have, and what I do to make sure that I achieve them.

Listener Questions

Charlene: What tools do you use to note that the goal is completed?

Laurel: Homeschool goals?

Abigail: What do you do to motivate you to continue towards a goal when it gets hard?

Kara: How do you teach goal setting to your children?

Rebecca: How do you know how high to set the bar? I am doing some goal setting myself, but I don’t want to set a goal that I can’t achieve… but I don’t want to set the bar too low because then there will not be a challenge.

  1. I try to set myself goals that are easily achievable so that I don’t just give up on them.
I would love for you to link this post up to Motivational Monday please.

    • I’ve always found “baby steps” are a great way to accomplish something big. 🙂  I’ll be happy to link up!  PJ

  2. I thrilled to hear that one of your goals is to write a book with your husband! I can’t wait to hear what topic you are planning – I’m sure anything you guys choose will be fantastic. I can’t imagine how you will find the time, very motivating! 🙂

Off topic – I made a control journal after that podcast you did a while back. It is now the “go-to” place for my family’s calendar, recipes we print that we like, addresses, some documents, and hopefully soon I’ll have a tab for “goals” for myself.

    • Rock on, Beth!  How cool is that?!?  You just made my day.  You’re going to love it and find that you are constantly thinking of new things to add to it. 🙂  PJ
